Jeffrey Smith opened the first PSM office in 1994 in Roswell, New Mexico. In 1998, he took over the reins of PrimeSource Mortgage, Inc. and began to expand the business. In February 1999, he purchased the company and became the President and CEO. Today he heads up a corporate staff headquartered in Roswell, New Mexico, and leads 30 retail origination offices located across the United States. In addition to his administrative duties, he actively grows the company by recruiting and opening up new offices and pursuing new business partners.

Jeff has a broad background in the world of banking. From 1983 to 1994, he held a variety of positions, rising to the vice presidency in both Norwest Bank of Roswell and Sunwest Bank of Roswell.

To prepare for this banking career, Jeff attended several schools; notable among them were West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1983, and Southwestern Graduate School of Banking in Dallas, Texas, where he earned his graduate degree in 1994.

Jeff and Cindy, married since 1983, have two children: Eric and Kristin.
