History of PSMI

PrimeSource Mortgage, Inc. (PSMI) was incorporated in Texas in 1991. Jeffrey R. Smith opened the first branch in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1994. He had a strong desire to see the company grow and soon four more offices were opened in New Mexico. In 1998, Jeffrey became the president; a year later he purchased PrimeSource Mortgage, Inc. and became the owner as well as the president and CEO.

As a privately owned business, PSMI grew to a network of over 25 individually operated loan origination offices in six southwestern states: Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Arizona. PSMI quickly earned the reputation of the leading mortgage company in the southwest.

In May of 2005, PSM Holdings, Inc. (PSMH) was incorporated and became the parent company of PSMI. In October of 2005, PSMH announced that it had gone public with shares now available as Over the Counter stock.

Going public has opened up new doors for expansion. In 2006, PSMI teamed up with NationwideByOwner, Inc. (NWBO) and signed an exclusive license agreement, giving PSMI the exclusive right to originate and close mortgage loans generated through NWBO's regional and national advertising efforts. You can visit the NWBO website at http://www.nwbo.com .

Another strategic alliance was established with ICAN Institute, Inc (ICAN), a professional development and training company. Deb Erickson, Founder and President of ICAN, is a nationally known speaker who crisscrosses the country delivering her empowerment programs to support PSM branches in their development. The new alliance is timely as PSMI is expanding its operations nationwide. www.icaninstitute.com

This nationwide expansion includes the company's obtaining licenses in new states. Currently we are licensed in 19 states. More state applications are moving through the process. Our vision is to provide consumers in all markets across the country, small and large, with a trusted mortgage alternative that can provide you with more options than your typical bank and receive the customer service you deserve.
